Women in the Society

Normally, men are expected to be working and providing food, shelter, money, and all needs for their families. While women are the ones responsible for taking care of their children. They are expected to be at home doing household choirs and cooking meals for their husbands. These expectations of family and societal system are brought by the cultures and norms we are living in.
and thus, because of these expectations and norms, women are being perceived differently in the society.
Women are perceived as lower sex than men. Way back in history and religion, women were being treated as the slaves, servants, and even disregarded by the society. Remember the story of Adam and Eve, Eve was the one who fell on the hands of the devil. She was tempted to eat the apple. This made the impression that women are weak. They could not handle the pressures and they are irresponsible for their actions. Unlike Adam, who was strong and firm for his beliefs and faith.
Going back to the present time, differences of perceptions about women had emerged. Women nowadays prove the norms to be wrong. They are lots of successful career women in the business and other industries. They are aiming for equality in comparison to men that they even surpass men's capabilities. Now, they are being seen as the independent women of the new millenium. they are successful career women and lights of the families. Without them, children and husbands could not stand on their own feet. I am happy that we are not in the past years, wherein women are being mistreated and disregarded. Now, companies could not bias women and hire only men. They should not even pay higher salaries to men than women because there are legal laws provided for the benefits of women. Equality among sexes and gender should be implemented. :)
